publications in my field and I've been able to assist in the organization of
major multimedia conferences and workshops. Below are links to the publications
and conferences (as far as stable links are current).

ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Comuting and Communications (TOMCCAP)
From 2003-2006, I was a founding editorial board member of the ACM Trans. on Multimedia Communications, Computing and Applications. TOMCCAP
focuses on multimedia computing (I/O devices, OS, storage systems, streaming media middleware, continuous media representations, media coding, media processing, etc.), multimedia communications (real-time protocols, end-to-end streaming media, resource allocation, multicast protocols, etc.), and multimedia applications (databases, distributed collaboration, video conferencing, 3D virtual environments, etc.).
(They also have one of the longest "goals" sentences is the industry!)
For information on submissions, see the TOMCCAP web site.
