RESEARCH and ACTIVITIES
-
Asymptotic expansions.
In particular asymptotic methods for integrals and uniform expansions,
with applications to special functions, orthogonal polynomials and problems from
physics.
-
Computation of special functions.
Algorithms based on recursion relations, asymptotic expansions and other
series representations, and numerical quadrature.
-
Several topics from applied analysis.
-
NIST Digital Library of Mathematical Functions, the revision of the
Handbook of Mathematical Functions (Abramowitz and Stegun, eds.).
The Handbook was first published by the National Bureau of
Standards in 1964, last corrected in 1972, and still in print.

Algorithmic Methods for Special Functions by Computer Algebra.
This postdoc project was sponsored by NWO,
coordinated by Tom Koornwinder (KdV Institute,
Universiteit van Amsterdam) and Nico Temme (CWI, Amsterdam),
and performed by Raimundas Vidunas.
