• If you are running a grammar on your own input, start with a small amount of input, to smoke out errors and ambiguities in the grammar. An ambiguous grammar runs much slower, and will delay any results.

Note:

We cannot identify where or from whom this input comes, but in order to improve ixml and the processor the results are occasionally reviewed to learn how ixml is being used, especially if the processor fails.

Experience has shown that the processor usually fails because the grammar is so ambiguous, and the input so large, that the processor runs out of memory.
